Child Play Therapy
Play is the natural language of children.
Through play, they express their thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a way that words often cannot capture. Play therapy offers a safe and supportive space for children between the ages of 4 and adolescence to process their world, build resilience, and develop healthy coping strategies.

In play therapy, children are given the opportunity to explore challenges and emotions through games, art, storytelling, role play, and sand tray therapy. These creative approaches help them feel comfortable while building trust with their therapist, which is essential for growth and healing.

Play therapy can support children in many areas, including:

-
School-related stress and performance
-
Bullying and peer relationships
-
Anxiety, perfectionism, and self-esteem
-
Family changes such as separation, divorce, or co-parenting transitions
-
Grief, loss, and life adjustments
-
Exposure to trauma and violence
-
Developing friendships and social skills

For children in care or navigating complex family dynamics, play therapy can be especially impactful. It provides a consistent, stable environment where they can feel seen, heard, and understood while developing the tools they need to thrive.

Every child’s story is unique, and play therapy meets them where they are — helping them to express themselves, strengthen their sense of self, and move toward healing in a gentle, meaningful way.

I am here to help children and families find their way through life’s challenges with care, compassion, and guidance. Together, we can create a safe space for your child to heal, grow, and flourish.
My Story
It was not long into my Post Secondary Education that I realized that I loved to learn about childhood and adolescent development. After graduation it was with this focus that I began to develop my professional experience predominately working with children, adolescents, and their families. I began to branch out into different communities and cultures and I am extremely grateful to the knowledge and lessons I have been gifted.

After graduating with my Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology I began to focus more of my work in working with people with disabilities. I began to look at the label of People with Disabilities a different way. As I worked with People of Various Ability I learned that we all have strengths, dreams, and things that we want to be different.
