Topics of sexuality and gender can be a part of many therapeutic processes. In many instances sexuality and gender relate to other areas of a person's life that includes their career, education, activities, and relationships.
When working with people that identify as LGBTQ there are important considerations as this is an emerging population seeking equal rights and equality worldview.
It is with these considerations that there can be many concerns that are the same across populations and concerns that are specific to a population.
It is with great hope that positive cultural shifts will occur that will allow our societies members to live the way they choose without fear.
Regardless of sexuality and gender it is a basic human right for people to lead their life with happiness free of discrimination.

It is only when we see each other as equals that we are able to take the next steps of treating each other as equals.
Until we are at a place where we a celebrated for our diversity and we are sure in our equality there needs to be allies and safe places to promote change.
